Being a Momma

Being A Mom is the most important job you will ever do. A day’s work in the life of a mom cannot be measured by stacks of paper, trophies won or products sold. At the end of each day, you find that there are still dirty diapers to be changed, mouths to feed and floors to clean. However, in between all these tasks that seem, at times, to be mundane, there is an incredible sense of joy that accompanies motherhood. Join with us, as we take pride and pleasure in the simple smile of a child. From entertaining, to strictly applying discipline, we would like to walk with you through this journey, in hopes of offering some ideas, tips, hope... and maybe even a giggle or two.

Letter of the week and Valentines count down

I got an email from Alli, here are her cute ideas

So a couple things that we have done lately that may be fun..
Letter of the week. Each week we pick a letter. For example C was last week. So each day we did and activity that had to do with C.. Our snacks all revolved around the letter C. Cookies, carrots, cheese, crackers... Even when we were shopping we would emphasize things that started with C..


Another fun thing that we started yesterday was a valentine count down. I got 13 hershey kisses and lined them up. took plastic wrap wrap and then tied a bow around each kiss. Each day around snack time Josh and I talk to Jackson and tell him why we love him and tell him that there are only so many days left until everyone gets to celebrate love.. Then we cut off a kiss.
